Title:
user session closes during installation when 'keyboard layout' button
is pressed
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Once the keyboard selection window is displayed during the ubuntu mate
22.04 installation if 'keyboard layout' button is displayed, the user
session abruptly closes. The computer is a Thinkpad T400 where
previously ubuntu mate 20.04 was running (the boot disk failed and I
replaced it with a new one).
Here I enclose the resulting logs.
However, after trying again (avoiding to press the referred button)
and once the installation successfully was finished, if the applet
'workload switcher' Preferences option on the bottom panel is
selected, the same error happens. And it also happens when a PDF file
is loaded in Atril application.
I could reproduce this error with the three releases of ubuntu-mate:
22.04.01, 22.04.02 and 22.04.03
As I couldn't fix the problem by myself I had to erase the
installation and install ubuntu-mate 20.04.06.
