[Bug 2036096] [NEW] mantic installation (in remote ssh session) on z/VM starts subiquity in basic mode

Public bug reported:

Today I did a mantic installation (using ISO image from Sept 14th) in a z/VM guest.
The early boot steps ran as usual at the console level (the basic network config),
but when I switched over to the remote ssh session I've noticed that subiquity ran in basic mode,
rather than in rich mode (like in the past).
(Basic mode means mono-chrome - rich mode is colorful.)
The installation itself and subiquity worked okay in basic mode, it's just a bit less convenient.

I believe that this could be a regression due to a recent activity
around fixing 'preserving rich mode'.
