@Steve - Thank you for chiming in.
You have all the Hat's (Foundation, release, ...) that I formerly missed to be sure.
Thanks for also already adding the ubuntu-release-upgrade task btw, let me mark that one as critical to not be missed too easily.
@Mitchell
Thank you for working on the referred issue btw.
As I outlined in more detail in MM I'd ask you to write a release notes entry for that if you are ok to do so.
I think we have thereby enough votes then to act on it.
And as I mentioned before, doing so now allows it to be well in time for the beta freeze and images giving it one more chance to create signal if we miss a risk in this.

Status in dmraid package in Debian:
Fix Released
Bug description:
https://bugs.debian.org/1056944
From Debian bug:
RoQA; obsolete; dead upstream
"as discussed in bugs #864423 and #1034188, dmraid is obsolete and shall
not be shipped in trixie.
"
the delta for Ubuntu was related to kpartx-boot, now removed from multipath-tools
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/multipath-tools/0.9.9-1ubuntu1
I uploaded a dmraid without that delta to ease removal of NBS kpartx-
boot
