[Bug 2091212] [NEW] will not boot automatically

Public bug reported:

After recent upgrade (2024-Nov-01 ?) Ubuntu will not boot automatically.
It will boot if I select debug option early in the boot procedure.

Computer is MSI Gaming Series at least 5 years old.

No LSB modules are available.
