Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) reached end-of-standard-support on April 29, 2021.
Closing as reporter no longer uses Ubuntu and Kubuntu no longer uses Ubiquity as its installer.

Title:
Kubuntu 16.04.1 slideshow does not allow one to manually move between
  slides

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
All the Ubuntu installers I have come across have allowed one to
manually (normally there are two arrow buttons or something) move
between slides in the installation slideshow if one so wishes. However
the Kubuntu 16.04.1 64-bit (though I assume that it is the same with
the 32-bit one) installer seemingly has no such functionality. I
believe that it is lacking in this manner.
