Version 1.4.3-3 in noble works, or does not need  --sha256 to wprk.
Version 1.4.2-1ubuntu1 in jammy does not, 
Ignores --sha256, 100x slower.
cat hashes.sha256|rhash --sha256 -c - 
...# works, is fast, over 1GB/sec
