Public bug reported:

On attempting to install golang-1.18, I get the following error message:

Unpacking golang-1.18-src (1.18.1-1ubuntu1.1) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/golang-1.18-src_1.18.1-1ubuntu1.1_all.deb (--unpack):
unable to open '/usr/share/go-1.18/src/archive/tar/testdata/hdr-only.tar.dpkg-new': No such file or directory

Manual inspection of the .deb indicates that
'/usr/share/go-1.18/src/archive/tar/testdata/hdr-only.tar.dpkg-new' (and
a number of other files in
'/usr/share/go-1.18/src/archive/tar/testdata') is present in md5sums,
but not in the data.
