  Please update GNU make from version 3.81 to 3.82

Status in make-dfsg package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 13.10 contains GNU make version 3.81, which harkens from 2006
  and contains some bugs, including this one which was fixed in version
  3.82 (in 2009):

  So I am requesting that GNU make be updated from 3.81 to 3.82.

  There is a 4.0 version released in 2013 but maybe it shouldn't be
  adopted without a more rigorous process.
