Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) reached end-of-life on April 28, 2017.

Bug description:
  update-initramfs tried to grep some data from /proc/modules which had been rendered dead by a kernel oops during upgrade.
  This forced me to kill the process for update-manager to continue.
