Bug description:
update-initrafs is stuck with 0% CPU usage. (the exit status is
because I killed it manually to make the installation complete)
This is a piece pasted from htop's tree.

This happened during a routine upgrade of precise today, with last
dist-upgrade about one week ago. The error persists with subsequent
"apt-get -f install" runs.
