upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test. If you then find the
bug is still present in the newer Ubuntu version, please add a comment
here telling us which new version it is in.

Bug description:
  The following warning appeared during installation of the latest
  available kernel

  update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-27-generic
  Warning: No support for locale: en_US.utf8

  since english is the default I find this odd
