Hi,
I have done this, see attachments. Its an Asrock board running the X570 chipset. Dont know if they had the same bug in their AGESA implementation as ASUS did.

Thanks a lot by the way for taking your time. You guys just really rock!
Love your effort and still happy having switched to linux full daily
driver 10 years ago.

Bug description:
  I am using Shim 15.8 in combination with GRUB2.12. One of the GRUB
  menu items, chainloader /efi/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi, fails to
  boot, while it works correctly with GRUB2.06. Below is a screenshot of
  the error.
