*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 2077603 ***
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2077603

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/live-build/+bug/2077603 is
fixed and released. But I checked the image `ubuntu:noble-20241009`. The
problem is still in it. Does that image include the "live-build -
3.0~a57-1ubuntu49.1" with the fix?

Title:
Md5sum verification failed for the file /usr/sbin/start-stop-daemon in
the dpkg package of the noble-20240827.1 image

Status in cloud-images:
  Confirmed
Status in livecd-rootfs package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  With the image ubuntu:noble-20240827.1, when I run `dpkg -V dpkg |
  grep start-stop-daemon`, I'll get a line reporting md5sum verification
  error like:

  ??5?????? /usr/sbin/start-stop-daemon

If I reinstall the package: `apt-get update ; apt-get install
--reinstall dpkg`, the md5sum error will be gone.

This doesn't happen in the previous image tag `ubuntu:noble-20240801`.

Some tools that rely on `dpkg -V` to check if there are modified
binary files will report an error in this case.
