Hello Calvin
I was excited to try the fix. However, the idle time is showing the actual
elapsed time logged in.
As well, if there are 2 connections from one machine, both get the same
elapsed time.
example:
14:53:42 up 1 day, 48 min, 4 users, load average: 3.24, 3.21, 3.18
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT
root tty1 - Tue16 22:04m 4:00m 1:52m rsync -val
--progress /external/......
root 192.168.0.15 Tue20 *24:48m* 0.00s 3.41s sshd:
root at pts/0
root 192.168.0.15 14:53 *24:48m * 0.00s 0.04s sshd:
root at pts/1
pts/0 should have been about 15m in this case
Do I need to make a new bug report?

Title:
w command shows incorrect idle time for all users
Status in procps package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
user1 10.19.2.1 Fri16 3:05m 0.00s 0.08s sshd: user1 [priv]
user1 10.19.2.22 07:17 3:05m 0.00s 0.02s sshd: user2 [priv]
user3 10.19.2.103 14:25 3:05m 0.00s 0.01s sshd: user3 [priv]
user4 10.19.3.35 15:41 3:05m 0.00s ? sshd: user4 [priv]
user5 10.19.2.71 16:19 3:05m 0.00s ? sshd: user5 [priv]
Notice that all have identical idle times, which is the bug. Idle
times should be very different between users.
This appears to be only on 24.04LTS, previous versions do no do this
ie: 20.04, 22.04, 23.10.
