The metadata for the noble release was outdated when the archive was
closed and as such not all command-not-found packages are accurate. We
are already tracking this in bug 2078596 for a different package, so I
went ahead and marked this bug as a duplicate.

  Ubuntu 24.04 is missing "maildrop"

Status in command-not-found package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  After upgrading from 20.04 to 24.04, "maildrop" program disappeared
  without any notice.

  The system still suggests it's available. but it's not:

  $ maildrop
  Command 'maildrop' not found, but can be installed with:
  sudo apt install maildrop
  $ sudo apt install maildrop
  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree... Done
  Reading state information... Done
  Package maildrop is not available, but is referred to by another package.
  This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
  is only available from another source

  E: Package 'maildrop' has no installation candidate
