When preparing a bug report for a different problem realated gvim, it
turned out that the problem was related to file
/usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/sk which in my case had local modifications.
The same modified file worked without problems in Ubuntu versions prior
to 24.04 and works also for vim in a terminal. Thus, I have to search
for the problem in the 'sk' file. I've changed status of this report to
Invalid.

** Changed in: vim (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
  gvim does not display characters in certain columns

Status in vim package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Since upgrade to 24.04 gvim (package vim-gtk3) does not display characters in columns 126-127, 134-135, 141-142, 155, 158 and 161-162. Column numbers probably depend on font size.
  vim itself displays characters in these position correctly.
