this is not a bug. It's telling you to undo packages added by a ppa before the upgrade. 
ppas can introduce versions and dependencies not expected by the upgrader, so it's warning you now rather than risking a broken update.

the ppa-purge command will do that for you and most of the time it works. 
It can be tricky to get the syntax correct and make sure you don't have any update or package management tool open at the sametieme.
