  18.04 -20.04 upgrade fails repeatedly.  ppa -purge didn't cure it .

Bug description:
  Unhelpful message telling me to try ppa-purge but I can't see which package needs purging.
  No ERROR messages in either log file.  Gave up, stay with 18.04!
