Public bug reported:

installed linux-image-5.15.0-118-generic package post-removal script
subprocess returned error exit status 127

Some additional info:
$ find /boot/vmli*
/boot/vmlinuz
/boot/vmlinuz-5.15.0-119-generic
/boot/vmlinuz-6.8.0-44-generic
/boot/vmlinuz-6.8.0-45-generic
/boot/vmlinuz.old

lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID:	Ubuntu
Description:	Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
Release:	24.04
Codename:	noble

When I open files, as well as some other programs, the program windows flash at times non-stop. I have to guess at menu items at times. Also, it periodically freezes, forcing me to use alt+print+B to reboot.

It seems that the update didn't fully install, and it seems to get hung
up in trying to delete 5.5.0.118, but I don't seem to have it, and it
stops.
