It's too late to fix for Oracular and Plucky, but I have a hacky fix for
Questing and 24.04.3 on Ubuntu Studio /so long as/ the installer is
running. Still can't do much for the live session of the installer isn't
running.

Bug description:
While testing the Kubuntu Noble daily live environment my session
locked, though I never asked it to nor did I get the change to set any
  preferences, and refused to unlock.

Supposedly the default password is empty, but entering an empty
password refuses to get it to unlock. I am forced to reset the VM.

P.S. I don't know where to assign this yet.
