this is happening in 25.04 too. On my laptop which did not previously
show this problem. There was some speculation by me that it was due to a
race condition, happening on my 7840U laptop would mean this is much
more widespread, I think (it's hardly high end hardware).

  You can see it by pressing Escape instead of Enter.

  It seems somewhat related to the fix for bug 1942987, which only
  preloads non-bold text for the live session shutdown splash.
