Context : I alreadyt upgraded from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 last week.
I received a new message in an update window, inviting me to upgrade to 24.04.
1) So the actual release I'm using is 22.04 (for a week).

2) wich package are you willing ? When I type "apt-cache policy
pkgname", I receive "N: Impossible de trouver le paquet pkgname" : "N:
Impossible to find the package pkgname".

3) I confirmed that I wanted the upgrade, and the process began working.

4) But I received the error message, in french :

Impossible d'évaluer la mise à niveau

Un problème insoluble est survenu lors du calcul de la mise à niveau.

 Le paquet « update-manager » est marqué pour suppression mais il est
dans la liste de refus de suppression.

Si rien de tout cela ne s'applique, signalez ce bogue à l'aide de la
commande « ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core » dans un terminal.
Si vous souhaitez analyser le problème par vous-même, les fichiers
journaux contenus dans le répertoire « /var/log/dist-upgrade »
contiennent les informations sur la mise à niveau. Plus précisément,
veuillez consulter les journaux « main.log » et « apt.log ».
