Bug description:
I set the update-manager to automatically update. Unfortunately it
does this not in the background, but through a pop-up. The pop-up
window can happen anytime, including when I am in the middle of
writing a paragraph in another application. Consequently, the update-
manager can receive a space bar less than a second after it popped up,
and thus "steal" key strokes and take an action before I could notice
the new window.
A similar issue occurs on Thunderbird/Firefox when installing add-ons,
and they solved it by disabling the "Install" (or otherwise serious
action button) for the first ~second after the popup appeared.
I would suggest a similar change here, to disable the "OK" and
"Install updates" and "Restart now" buttons for the first 0.5 seconds
when the window is shown.
Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
