Public bug reported:

cross compilers needing adjustments for variants.

the amd64v3 cross builds currently fail to build. that's triggering an
assumption made in the gcc-*-cross packaging. fixable.

however what will we do about cross compilers targeting amd64v3? we
currently only build one cross compiler targeting amd64v1 for any amd64
variant.

** Affects: gcc-15-cross (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
