The culprit change is https://salsa.debian.org/kernel-team/initramfs-
tools/-/commit/5774cc330c144f31a5aec00e016395149e810bb7

/sys/module/firmware_class/parameters/path is available on noble and
also on 20.04 (focal) (tested in a VM). What kernel is the ISO build
running on?
