Not only is there the missing symlink problem, once you rebuild bpftrace
with llvm 18 from proposed, and try to use it, it doesn't work:

$ bpftrace
: CommandLine Error: Option 'debug-counter' registered more than once!
LLVM ERROR: inconsistency in registered CommandLine options
Aborted (core dumped)
