( You've filed this against ubuntu-release-upgrader which is the tool that upgrades a Ubuntu 24.04 LTS system to a later release such as Ubuntu 24.10. An `apt-get dist-upgrade` will only upgrade packages on the same release & doesn't run ubuntu-release-upgrader; that is run using `do-release-upgrade` )

  likely due to the read only filesystem from the Ubuntu TPM FDE setup.
