The short answer is that we do not support an F2FS /boot filesystem and
support is not built into signed monolithic GRUB for that reason.

If you need to have an F2FS root partition, you can use a separate /boot
with a supported file system as you suggested.

If you insist on having F2FS as /boot, you will have to build your own
GRUB image I am afraid.

Title:
GRUB issue. Kubuntu have not fully support F2FS file system

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
Kubuntu is possible install on F2FS file system basd this guide but with limitation with partitions
  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4EGcdKEJQ8

It work correct only if you have this partition settings (3 partitions):
/boot/efi EFI partition with fat23 file system
/boot partition with ext4 file system
/ root partition with F2FS file system

Issue with GRUB will if you install this two partitions settings. Issue with GRUB install. With non-F2FS file system it works correct
/boot/efi EFI partition with fat23 file system
/ root partition with F2FS file system

Dear developers: Can you please repair it?

More information on two screenshots, with GRUB failure too
