Title:
When installing Ubuntu with encryption, password is escaped

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
When entering a new disk password, the password is escaped. For
  example:

  1. Select to erase operating system and encrypt disk
  2. Enter password containing special characters, such as slash "\", for example: "password\\"
  3. Observe, that after reboot actual password to unlock a disk (as you would need to type it) would be "password\", not "password\\"
