Title:
Autoresize installation failed when minimum size used

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  32Bit Artful Ubuntu Budgie 17.10 Alpha 2

  Used a 40GB virtualbox HDD.

  Installed 32bit UB ok

Subsequently restarted the installed on the ISO to test the autoresize
capability. I dragged the slider all the way to the left for the
  installed OS to shrink it.

After clicking to install the error displayed is "Resize operation
failure", "An error occurred while writing the changes to the storage
devices", "The resize operation has been aborted".

I rebooted and tried the autoresize again but this time allowed
approxed 2GB extra from the minimum size - the installation succeeded
  ok.
