  installing to 1T sdxc (which overwrites gpt backup data)

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  first tried gpt, then msdos, which demands new partitioning to
  install.  Tried 100m efi, 20g root and 240g home, but the 240g failed
  toformat.

  Then tried installing just to the 200g / -- copied 1.7g to the
  partition and then failed with a read-only message.
