Title:
ubiquity kubuntu 20.10 21.04 install screens truncated
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Performing the installation of Kubuntu 20.10 from
kubuntu-20.10-desktop-amd64.iso, the installation screens exceed the
size of the available window. In the initial windows, data is missing
to the right while the "Install Kubuntu" button is visible. Starting
on the next screen "keyboard Layout", the "Back" button is visible
however the "Continue" button is off-screen and requires the user to
drag the window to the left to see that button in order to proceed.
This now positions the window to possibly see subsequent buttons
positioned on the lower right of succeeding panes but now the
Installation progress data in the leftmost column of the panes is now
not visible. The user will have to scroll left to see that
information. All of the other ubuntu distributions ensure that local
scrolling is not required to navigate through the install process.
