hello
thanks for reply (after 4 years)
the pc and the soft is out of date but partly still working, i will use it
till the end, just only for technical information .

but last year (2024) i did receive two updates for ubuntu 20 and 21
(lubuntu) and ...
1) after update no longer internet (no wifi)
2) on a second ps after update no longer ubuntu start up and no uefi
selection possible anymore (stil in problem) but via windows advanced
restart i can load ubuntu from ssd drive  !!??  even boot repair does not
solve the problem 'for the moment'

please understand that i have still a low level of trust in updates

after years of using unix (also as professional) i have questions in the
quality of the updates ,  an upgrade asks a qualified knowledged person in
order to understand what to do.

i don't like using windows but ......it seems useful to have it

Bug description:
  last year i did receive an update (for ubuntu 18),from then no load possible from harddisk nor live cd. only live cd and usb stick ubuntu 16 did load wthout any problem. i did a lot af tests all good but..... if i try to install a do receive "still uncorrected error.... aborted. today i see that i can sent a report (is sent some minutes ago) for help. hope you can help me out of this problem.
