  Hello Ubuntu Community,

  I recently encountered an issue on my Ubuntu 24.04 system where the
  `update-notifier` application crashed with the following error:

  Sorry, Ubuntu 24.04 has experienced an internal error.
  ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/update-notifier
  Package: update-notifier 3.192.68build3
  ProblemType: Crash
  Title: update-notifier crashed with SIGSEGV in g_hash_table_lookup()
  ```

  This error appears as a crash notification, and it seems to indicate a
  segmentation fault (SIGSEGV) in the `g_hash_table_lookup()` function
  used by `update-notifier`.
