As I gather there is already an upstream bug report, but no one has
worked on fixing it.  I think we should mark this triaged in Ubuntu, and
if/when it's fixed upstream bring in the appropriate stable version to
Ubuntu (per the SRU exception policy for fwupd).

Bug description:
  1. Fresh install ubuntu server 24.10 on the edge server
  2. Check whether the syslog contains any failure messages:
  Dec 24 03:42:26 ub2410-cfg1 systemd[1]: Starting fwupd.service - Firmware update daemon...
  Dec 24 03:42:43 ub2410-cfg1 fwupd[1800]: 03:42:43.923 GLib                 g_close(fd:0) failed with EBADF. The tracking of file descriptors got messed up
  Dec 24 03:42:43 ub2410-cfg1 fwupd[1800]: 03:42:43.926 GLib                 g_close(fd:0) failed with EBADF. The tracking of file descriptors got messed up
  Dec 24 03:42:43 ub2410-cfg1 fwupd[1800]: 03:42:43.988 FuPluginIntelMe      failed to get public key using file-id 0x40002300: generic failure [0xb]

  This should be a fwupd tool issue, please help to fix it, thanks.
