This bug was fixed in the package syslinux -
3:6.04~git20190206.bf6db5b4+dfsg1-3.1ubuntu1

---------------
syslinux (3:6.04~git20190206.bf6db5b4+dfsg1-3.1ubuntu1) questing; urgency=medium

  * Merge with Debian unstable. (LP: #2116046) Remaining changes:
    - unset ELF_PACKAGE_METADATA as it causes lzo/prepcore segmentation fault
  * Dropped Changes:
    - Fix incompatible pointer type, implicit declaration and unknown type name
      (LP: 2081800)
    - Fix build ignoring the new default -fcf-protection flag added
      by dpkg-buildflags. (LP: 2036757)
    - Fix build with glibc 2.34, apparently some header previously
      implicitly #included setjmp.h and now doesnt.
