and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Ubuntu 23.04 (lunar) reached end-of-life on January 25, 2024.

It's possible you had a bad write to your installation media or for some
other reason its contents could not be read correctly.

Do you still see such problems related to those that you reported when
using a currently supported release of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you
do otherwise this report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days
time.
