Title:
Upgrade UEFI dbx from 466 to 20241101 not working
Status in fwupd package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
On my Dell Latitude 5410 running Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS, I'm unable to apply a UEFI Secure Boot dbx firmware update using fwupd.
Despite following all steps (boot order change, Secure Boot disabled, reinstall attempts), the update fails on reboot with the following error:
fwupd-efi version 1.4
WARNING: No updates to process, exiting in 10 seconds.
Followed by:
start_image() returned Invalid Parameter, falling back to default loader
Expected behavior
I expected the firmware update to apply successfully during the next boot, with fwupd-efi executing the capsule update.
I have reported this bug in fwupd repository (github).
