  software updater crash

Status in software-properties package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Hello I wanted to update the system as I do every time I open my laptop. But it cannot update, and I receive the message that the updater has crashed. In the Terminal it gave this:
  E: Malformed entry 1 in sources file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/third-party.sources (URI parse)
  E: The list of sources could not be read.

  Therefore any help please?
