[Bug 2100893] [NEW] kernel regression where suspending worked in kernel 6.8.0-52-generic but not in the newer 6.11.0-17-generic kernel on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS.

Public bug reported:

I was able to suspend and resume on the kernel 6.8.0-52-generic but not in the newer 6.11.0-17-generic kernel on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS.  I see that the machine powering up but I get a blank screen. I can't even ssh from a another machine.  I have to forcibly shutdown the machine down by press and hold the power button.
Temporary fix:  Using the "Advanced options for Ubuntu" select the kernel 6.8.0-52-generic

I believe the most likely issue is on the amd driver. Hence, here is my
