Desktop Installer or Calamares starting with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

  Installing Ubuntu on new drive after grub rescue menu popped up when

Bug description:
  Tried installing Ubuntu on a ssd where Manjaro was recently deleted. I
  was hoping to fix the grub rescue issue.  I booted up on liveusb of
  Ubuntu 21.04 and tried to fresh install onto that SSD came up with
  error: grub-install/dev/sdv failed
