Hi Nick,

I ran into the same problems doing the upgrade after I looked into the
issue you had mentioned. My question is this: how do I find the issues that
you were mentioning? There are many things in both the app log and main log
that make no sense to me, only because there does not seem to be a place
that explains exactly what the one problem is that is causing the upgrade
to fail. There's so many sites out there that list ways to help people find
this, but I'm missing something that you found quite easily. Thank you for
whatever help you can give me on this.

Upgrade from 22.04 to 24.04 failed - very unclear how to proceed

Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

I would LOVE to upgrade, but I am not a seasoned systems person. It
is failing and I have done so many things to verify that I have no
held/broken/missing packages. It is incredibly frustrating and time

new release is not preferred by many people, and an upgrade seems
somewhat easy to do. But, this is a common complaint, and I'm, again,
formally filing a bug about it.
