[Bug 2103767] [NEW] Install can't cope with LVM disks

Public bug reported:

The installers for Ubuntu 24.04 and 24.10 (both new and old installers)
can't manage to over-write a disk that has previously been used for LVM.
In my case the disk used to hold Proxmox.

The error is an unknown error that happens in the middle of the install,
which then aborts.

The work round is to boot into a thumb drive with gparted on it, and de-
activate and delete partitions on the disk, until it is completely bare.

** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
