For reference, there is a bug in one of the TeX packages you are bound
to hit if you have texlive-full installed. See here
https://askubuntu.com/a/1441819. A postinstall script tries to get user
input in a nontrasparent way, and the preceding message does not help...
Solution for users: press Enter in the console multiple times before you
see "done."

Bug description:
  Hi.

  I've just done the upgrade from bionic to focal using the GUI upgrade tool.
  Upgrade hung after the terminal printed the line "Pregenerating Context MarkIV format. This may take some time...".

  I found an answer on the web that I need to press Enter few times,
  which worked, but otherwise I would break the upgrade in an unstable
  state.

  I expect the script to be fully automatic, without waiting for my
  blind confirmations.
