Ubiquity is now unmaintained as it has been replaced by either the
Ubuntu Desktop Installer or Calamares starting with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

  I've tried to install XUbuntu on USB flash drive with EFI and ZFS.
  Installer have crashed during installation. Noticed the message that
  said something about failure mounting /target.
