  fwupdate distributed is EOL

Status in fwupd package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  As per https://github.com/fwupd/fwupd/issues/8629 1.7.x is EOL for
  some time.

  All ubuntu servers now fail when trying their regular update.

  Please could a new version be packaged and distributed?
