Thanks for your bug report. You didn't include the actual message of the
error dialog, that would have been helpful. Looking at the log file it
shows the same error as bug 2110594, so I am going to mark it as a
duplicate of that.

That being said, if you received a different error message please let us
know.

Bug description:
  Launched Software Update tool;
  Started upgrade from 2024.10 to 2025.04
  got a dialog box error saying couldn't upgrade, and a shell command to report a bug.

  This is an Ubuntu guest virtual machine running under virtual box on
  Windows 11 host.
