Title:
  Grub does not detect new kernel

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I run Ubuntu 24.04.02 on kernel 6.11.0-17 with zfs file system. It
  seems grub does not detect properly the latest kernel installed and
  still list old kernel not installed.

  Grub still detects 6.11.0-17 and 6.8.0-52 while 6.11.0-17 and
  6.11.0-26 are installed. I would expect the latter to be detected and
  added in grub menu.

  Installed kernels
  $ apt list --installed | grep linux-image
  linux-image-6.11.0-17-generic/noble-updates,now 6.11.0-17.17~24.04.2 amd64 [installed,automatic]
  linux-image-6.11.0-25-generic/noble-updates,noble-security,now 6.11.0-25.25~24.04.1 amd64 [installed,auto-removable]
  linux-image-6.11.0-26-generic/noble-updates,noble-security,now 6.11.0-26.26~24.04.1 amd64 [installed,automatic]
  linux-image-generic-hwe-24.04/noble-updates,noble-security,now 6.11.0-26.26~24.04.1 amd64 [installed,automatic]

  I suspect something related to zfs without being able to figure out
  what's the problem.
