( You've filed this bug report against the process of upgrading a Ubuntu
24.04 LTS system to Ubuntu 25.04, as that is the only upgrade path open
to ubuntu-release-upgrader now; did you actually try this? and thus had
a freeze problem? as I see no evidence of that )
