To reproduce:
$ wget "https://github.com/conda-forge/miniforge/releases/latest/download/Miniforge3-$(uname)-$(uname -m).sh"
$ bash Miniforge3-$(uname)-$(uname -m).sh -b

PREFIX=/home/user/miniforge3
WARNING: md5sum mismatch of tar archive
expected: d7a815c5a6cf850b60b346493c7df24b
     got: 92e6be57e0a7481af4b7ab400f90cbc9  -
Unpacking payload ...
critical libmamba Damaged tar archive

I have confirmed this is not an issue on up-to-date 25.04 and 24.04.

Potential issue with uutils md5sum:
$ md5sum  --version 
md5sum (uutils coreutils) 0.2.2
